I had such an incredible experience at Soho Bánh Mì. From the moment I walked in, the team made me feel genuinely welcome with their warm, friendly service. You can really tell they care about what they do. The food was outstanding — everything tasted incredibly fresh and was cooked to absolute perfection. The bánh mì had the perfect balance of flavours and textures, and every bite felt thoughtfully made. You can’t help but appreciate the quality and passion that goes into their dishes. The atmosphere is just as amazing. There’s a heartfelt, cosy vibe that makes you instantly comfortable, like you’ve found a little hidden gem in the middle of the city. If I lived in Hong Kong, this would easily be my everyday spot to eat. It’s the kind of place you look forward to returning to again and again. Absolutely worth a visit — highly recommended!

This spot is a gem at Repulse Bay! I originally planned to get a banh mi to go, but ended up staying for 2 hours as Diana and Chef Johnny were super chill and friendly. The banh mi was amazing and I will definitely be back to try their other menu items!

If it were possible to give this place more than five stars, I would! Where to begin? Firstly, the staff are incredible. Diana and Farah made us feel as though we were sitting in their own living room - funny, welcoming and kind. The food speaks for itself. Their fish sauce is an absolute speciality; made daily, it’s fresh and unlike anything I’ve ever had before. The pork neck is a speciality for a reason - I’ve never had pork so fragrant and light in texture and taste. Farah let us know her secret - but we’ll never tell! The wine was gorgeous and the price was incredibly fair for the quality of the dishes. We’ve already booked our next meal there. I can’t recommend enough!

I would proudly say this is the best Vietnamese restaurant in Hong Kong. I highly recommend the Chicken Pho, Bun Ca, and Avocado Rolls. Overall, the ingredients are fresh, the herbs and smoky flavors blend well, and the sauces are outstanding

Shared two banh mi - the fish, and pork - delicious and filling, and got them within 10 minutes at lunch on a Saturday! The fish was lighter but tasty while the pork had great grilled flavors. Service was excellent, friendly and quick and even gave us a plain freshly grilled baguette for my nephew who is a picky eater at his young age. Not quite sure what some of the other reviews are complaining about. If you're at a banh mi spot, order the banh mi. It's literally in the name. I don't go to a steakhouse, order their pasta, and complain about it not being amazing. It's not always within the staff's control (rarely is). Also, stop complaining about pricing, it's literally on the menu on display before y'all even get seated and order, and you're on Repulse Bay Beach, there will be an UPCHARGE FOR LOCATION (as with literally every non-large chain establishment on a beach or rooftop bars?). And they couldn't have been more wrong about the staff, they were all super friendly. As someone who is actually in the industry...some people's entitlement and egocentric are often on full display in these reviews. TL;DR - this place is better than the reviews show, go and grab yourself some banh mi when you're at Repulse and enjoy it on the beach!
